Many Gods West was founded in the fall of 2014 by the Niki Whiting and Rhyd Wildermuth. Currently, Syren Nagakyrie and others run the event as the Many Gods West Steering Committee.
Inspired by the work and efforts of others in the wider polytheist community, we decided to create a gathering closer to our homes that would bring together polytheists of all stripes for discussion, learning, sharing, and community building.
2017 Steering Committee

She is the founder of the Shekhinah Mountainwater Memorial Fund, a co-founder of Mother Grove Goddess Temple, and a founding board member of Gods&Radicals. She also served on the 2016 Many Gods West steering committee. Syren blogs at syrenofminds.wordpress.com. Rather a Wandering Hermit, Syren is finding roots in the PNW; her heart sings for the sea and her body yearns for the forest.
is a polytheist hailing from the Pacific Northwest, an environmental advocate, a fledgling off-gridder, and spirit-worker. When not engaged with activities on their small, permaculture hobby farm, she and her partner can be found playing with grandchildren, reading books, and drinking tea.
Anaar is an initiate of the Anderson Feri tradition and has a Masters degree in Arts and Consciousness. She has spent nearly two decades studying the relationship between Feri and its expression through the Arts. Greatly influenced by the mad poesy of Victor Anderson, she seeks to create works of great mystery and power. Anaar is currently the only known grandmaster of the tradition.
Fjothr is an environmentalist, Lokean, and animist. Her spiritual practices are focused on her primary god and relationships with the regional Powers and other beings of the land. She keeps houseplants, spends almost too much time on Tumblr, and is inordinately fond of birds. She also writes sporadically at fjothr.wordpress.com and Gods & Radicals.
